Thomas Herrele, CEO of the Aviation Academy Austria, quickly understood that in order to survive in the sky, you also have to train on ground.

Thomas Herrele quickly understood that in order to survive in the sky, you also have to train on earth.

He is the director of Aviation Acadamy Austria, it is his heart project alongside his long-haul flights as a pilot: "Even in kindergarten I knew that I wanted a job later that had to do with aircraft. I am really proud of the fact that we realized a great idea here within 10-12 years and have now set up this training center with five simulators in Wiener Neustadt. The simulators cost between 8 and 40 million euros, depending on the device. So they are expensive devices and that is of course also a big inhibition threshold for newcomers in this business. You have to train on a special simulator that fits exactly to the aircraft type. We have customers from Panama, Australia, Indonesia - from all over the world: 40 countries from all continents".
