Overview

Team work is the essential key of being successful. The Multi Crew Cockpit Course.

The MCC course can be scheduled for a crew of 2 or 3 pilots. A crew of three pilots means, that the crew rotates PF/PNF/jump seat. Jump seat time will not count as MCC time, but will allow the student to monitor the PF/PNF activities for a better cockpit familiarization phase.

The aim of the course is to become proficient in multi-crew cooperation (MCC) in order to operate multi-pilot, multi-engine aircrafts safely under IFR and for that purpose to ensure that:

  • The pilot-in-command fulfills his managing and decision-making functions irrespective of whether he is PF or PNF
  • Tasks and duties of PF and PNF are clearly specified and distributed in such a manner that the PF can direct his full attention to the handling and control of the aircraft
  • Cooperation is effected in an orderly manner appropriate to the normal, abnormal or emergency situations encountered
  • Mutual supervision, information and support are ensured at all times

Topics in this course:

  • SOP
  • Checklist philosophy
  • Checklists
  • Checklist discipline
  • Call-outs
